Large “Cyclades” vase

This large vase, with its Greek-inspired design, was built using the coil and pinching technique (the clay is refined by pinching it between the fingers as it is being shaped). This large piece is covered with a white porcelain slip to give it its texture and patina. Slip is a ceramic coating applied to the clay body before firing to mask its natural color. In the case of the "Cyclades" vase, the whiteness of the porcelain slip partially covers the beige stoneware.
This part is fired at a high temperature and is therefore perfectly waterproof.
It has a height of 27 cm and a diameter of 27 cm.
