Inspired by an ancient architectural detail, our French cherry wood dining table pays homage to the ingenuity of builders of the past. Handcrafted from locally sourced cherry wood from sustainably managed forests, it showcases the natural warmth and subtle pinkish hues of this noble wood.
Its massive legs are inspired by the "squinch," a transitional element between wall and dome, here reinterpreted with soft, organic lines to offer a sculptural base that is both solid and fluid. The tabletop, with its generous curves and harmonious oval shape, invites sharing and creates a warm dialogue with its surroundings.
This table comfortably seats six to eight people, making it the perfect centerpiece for everyday meals or special occasions. Each finish is achieved with Rubio Monocoat, a hard wax-based treatment that protects the wood while allowing its natural texture to show through. This matte, durable, food-safe treatment preserves the wood's beauty against the wear and tear of daily life.
