UMARELL embraces a refined industrial aesthetic, sitting at the intersection of design and artwork, conceived for discerning interiors where objects must possess a presence, a history, and a purpose. The result: personified totem objects. In fact, the term “umarell” refers to the elderly people in Italy who observe construction sites with their hands clasped behind their backs. In keeping with this, each lamp bears an Italian first name and carries scars that reflect its previous life.
Meet Claudio. He is an unabashed dreamer. His posture, slightly tilted backward, diffuses a soft, enveloping light that creates a calm and contemplative atmosphere in the room. His gaze seems forever fixed upward, as if searching for an idea, for somewhere else. The elements that compose him come from scaffolding that accompanied the improbable ascent of metal piping at an industrial port.
From this origin, Claudio retains a unique tension between technical rigor and poetic strangeness. His surface reveals chips, areas that have been sanded and repainted, and traces of concrete left visible. Nothing is concealed. Claudio is made of layered fragments of history, an expressive and sensitive piece, intended for those who know how to read both material and light.

Table Lamp - Artisanal work
UMARELL is a collection of lamp-sculptures inspired by the world of construction sites, crafted from genuine recycled scaffolding elements. These pieces, originally intended to support, secure, and structure temporary spaces, are repurposed to become enduring, functional, and expressive objects. Each lamp is unique and handcrafted in France, then powder-coated. The proportions are intentionally bold.UMARELL embraces a refined industrial aesthetic, sitting at the intersection of design and artwork, conceived for discerning interiors where objects must possess a presence, a history, and a purpose.
