This small abstract format is an exploration of matter and color, entitled "Firsts".
I worked by layeringmixed media techniques (acrylic, ink, and possibly watercolor) on a base of collages of old texts , whose typography subtly shows through, anchoring the abstraction in a hidden narrative.
The dominant colors are deep blues and luminous greens , evoking nature and the evolution of matter. The texture is rich, reminiscent of fragments of lichen or moss mingling with words, creating a microscopic landscape. Touches of gold dot the surface, illuminating the composition like bursts of light or buried treasures.
This work, although abstract, invites introspection, a "first" look at a world of sensations.
About the Work:
Technique: Mixed media (acrylic, ink, collage, gold) on paper.
Presentation: Comes with a very beautiful custom-made off-center ivory passe-partout , which gives the whole thing a decidedly contemporary touch.
Dimensions: The passe-partout is in the format 30 x 30 cm (standard square size, easy to frame).
