"Without really knowing how, I took the plunge and encountered on the canvas the Universe that dwells within me, as well as the messages that my paintings convey to me."

Painter, PAU (64)

Nathalie lets us into her world and shares her sincere, authentic, spiritual approach.

Tell us your story, how did your vocation come to you?

As a child, I dream. I try to draw a bird,
What comes to me naturally does not exist. What I see does not exist.
I try hard to please, it doesn't touch my heart.

Many years later, after evolving in the world of fashion and design, creating textile collections, then a lacquered wooden bead necklace that went around the world and led me to bankruptcy due to its too rapid growth, I changed my life.

The starting point of a new life and a personal quest. In 2016, I chose to train in personal development coaching, which a few years later transformed into energy and spiritual development.
I discovered transpersonal hypnosis in 2021 and I chose to train in this practice which opens me up to new ways of seeing life.
It was at that moment that the desire to paint made itself heard... Although this desire to express myself artistically has always been present, it took me this whole journey to dare to follow the call of my heart.
Without really knowing how, I embark on this journey and encounter on the canvas the Universe that inhabits me as well as the messages that my paintings convey to me.

How would you describe your style, your artistic approach, in a few words?

I discovered my style online by letting go, like something that lay dormant deep inside me, not daring to fully reveal itself. Just like the lacquered wooden bead necklace, there's always a form of simplicity, a joyful stripping away of artifice to get to the heart of the matter, with sincerity and authenticity.
My approach is rather spiritual, daring to let myself be touched by something greater than myself. I don't know how to draw; I sometimes discover it once the canvas is dry, or when I turn it a quarter turn.

What themes or subjects inspire you most in your work?

Love, joy, the Invisible, all that is hidden in our hearts and only asks to be expressed for our greater good and the greater good of humanity.

How do you work?

I let myself be guided. I listen to my intuition; I don't have a fixed schedule or a studio for painting. It's always with a mixture of timidity, excitement, and a certain discomfort that I approach the canvas. Doubt creeps in—what am I going to do?—but I set the doubt aside and rediscover a childlike innocence, without any expectation of a specific outcome.

Do you have a particular technique, a specific expertise? Without revealing all your secrets, have you developed your own methods and techniques?

Although I have a particular taste for colours, I have no expertise in this area.
The first time, after pouring paint onto the canvas, I grabbed something from a drawer to spread it... It turned out to be a small plastic scraper used for defrosting the freezer! It's been my go-to tool ever since... Now that's what I call serendipity...
My technique is my intuition, my connection to the heart, my letting go to honor this gift from heaven.

Tell us about your daily life, your constraints, your joys, your successes…

My daily life is gentle. Alongside painting, I offer online coaching and guidance sessions, as a facilitator of change.
I've reached an age where I no longer impose too many constraints on myself, where I no longer have to...
My greatest joy is accepting myself as I am, and no longer apologizing for being hypersensitive, clairvoyant, clairaudient...

Do you have a message you'd like to share, or anything else you'd like to say?

I read or heard somewhere that one can choose to make life an accident or an adventure...
Let us choose adventure, because despite the pain or difficulties, there is always something beautiful behind it to lead us to greater peace.
