UMARELL Lamp - Ettore
Description
Table lamp - Handcrafted
UMARELL is a collection of lamp-sculptures inspired by the world of construction sites, designed from authentic recycled scaffolding elements. These pieces, initially intended to support, secure, and structure temporary spaces, are repurposed to become enduring, functional, and expressive objects. Each lamp is unique and handcrafted in France, then powder-coated. The proportions are intentionally bold.
UMARELL embraces a refined industrial aesthetic, sitting on the border between design and art, conceived for discerning interiors where an object must have a presence, a history, and a purpose. The result: personified totem objects. Indeed, the term “umarell” refers in Italian to people who observe construction sites with their hands behind their backs. In this vein, each lamp bears an Italian first name and carries scars that reflect its past life.
This is Ettore. He is a calm and stable presence, almost silent. He never seeks to impose himself, but naturally creates a soothing atmosphere. His light creates a space for breathing, conducive to reflection and contemplation. He was born from eclectic materials, assembled like a coherent patchwork, where each fragment retains a part of its memory. This controlled diversity gives his structure a discreet richness. Where the concrete has overflowed, its metal has darkened. These scars tell the story of his construction and reinforce his authenticity. Ettore is aimed at those who are looking for a reassuring, profound object that is durably anchored in material.
