Description

Original sculpture – French craftsmanship

Original sculpture – transformed wood

A material under tension.

Wood is merely a starting point here.

The surface has formed through accumulation, to the point of producing a dense, almost autonomous presence.

What is perceived stems less from a gesture than from a phenomenon.

A material that seems to have deposited itself, slowly, as if under pressure.

⸻

An unstable boundary

The eye hesitates.

Between what surfaces

and what freezes.

Between the living and the mineral,

between internal tension

and surface concretion.

Nothing reveals itself immediately.

The form contains,

the material insists.

⸻

Why this piece

This piece is part of an exploration of tension.

Not as a visible break,

but as a silent force,

capable of transforming matter from within.

Here, the surface does not cover the form:

it becomes its extension.

As if it had formed itself.

as a point of density,

Atelier H
