The moment my eyes fell upon this piece of century-old ash , I was captivated by its distinctive grain. The organic patterns and sinuous lines seemed to dance gracefully, immediately evoking the waves and movements of a woman's hair. I decided to let this raw beauty shine through by gently brushing the wood to bring out its remarkable undulations.
At the same time, I also wanted to represent the softness of the skin and its purity through the smooth, white appearance of the artwork. The result is a tactile sensation reminiscent of the delicacy of a woman's skin.
This work evokes the natural beauty of hair while also suggesting the delicacy of a woman's skin. “White Hall” is a celebration of femininity in its diversity and complexity.
