Brown algae

Unique piece.

Ornamental piece made from a single log carved from the mass which required more than 50 hours of work.

The wood used is pistachio terebinth, a species with a very fine and hard grain which grows in the Mediterranean massifs and scrubland.

The pistachio tree is distinguished by the color contrast between the dark brown heart and the light sapwood on the edges.

It owes its name to its resinous sap which was formerly used to make turpentine.
