This handmade lampshade is turned on a traditional wood lathe. It consists of two pieces from the same tree that fit together to increase the overall height.
This technique allows the use of thinner pieces of raw wood.
The photos show that a large woodworm has made its presence known and left its mark (visible in the second-to-last photo). Often when turning green wood, one must contend with the nature of the wood and its inhabitants.
Finished with natural hard oil and beeswax.
Suitable for E27 sockets.
