I constructed this face with closed eyes against a background of collages of text and fragments of bold typography , where capital letters (notably a large "URBAN") structure and disrupt the figure. The ink and ballpoint pen (Bic) drawing sculpts the volumes and the intensity of the expression.

The colours, dominated by sepia, black and grey tones , are enlivened by touches of incandescent orange and bright yellow.

  • Presentation: Comes with a very nice custom-made off-center passe-partout (for a contemporary look), but without a frame.
