This work is a poetic evocation of nature, created using mixed media on a background of antique paper. At the center, a majestic umbrella pine stands, drawn in ink and ballpoint pen . Its dense foliage is painted in deep black, textured with a mixture of coffee and watercolor, and illuminated by flecks of gold leaf .

The background is formed from a yellowed 18th-century book page.

The artwork is presented with an elegant ivory-colored passe-partout , ready to be inserted into a standard 30 x 40 cm frame.
